Pupil's Voice
Article 3: The best interests of the child must be a top priority in all things that affect children.
Article 12: Every child has the right to have a say in all matters affecting them, and to have their views taken seriously.
At Abbey Farm ET we have a strong focus on collaboration, engagement and stewardship involving the children in decision making and discussions to further develop our school. Children in our schools know their rights and know that as a staff we are here to listen to their views and ideas.
From the outset, we will talk to all pupils about rights and democracy in an age appropriate way. As the school develops, we will introduce a Students Council, with representatives from all year groups (YrR-6), who will meet each term to make suggestions and give feedback to a staff representative.
